I really like this product. It is a very thick oil and it isnt runny at all.
My hairline has came out due to tight braids..etc..
This product has really grown my edges back great. What I do is put
the product on my hairline and do a scalp massage everyday.
The only thing I wish it smelled better. It isnt a smell that is just
terriable but I wish it had a fresh scent.
Other than that I love the product and I will buy it again and
recomend it to my family, clients and friends.

This is the business!!!, May 6, 2010

Ive been using this product for about 3 months and my hair has never been softer. I have 4b type hair and it can be very kinky/corse. I started using JBCO to seal my ends after twisting. I also apply the oil to my scalp and massage it at night, and add about 1-2 tsp. to my deep conditioner. I’ve also noticed some hair growth since Ive been doing my scalp massages with JBCO more regularity. And that’s all I can really say. It may be more pricey than regular castor oil so that’s why I give it 4stars, but as far as its perfomence I think it is the business!!! for anyone who has Natural hair.

JBCO is a hair care necessity for me., July 23, 2010

    Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
This review is from: Jamaican Black Castor Oil 8oz (Health and Beauty)
My hair has been damaged from braids and generally pulling my hair in tight ponytails. For the past month I stopped using grease with mineral and/or petroleum oil in hopes to make my hair more manageable and easier to style. In just a few days of using the JBCO I immediately saw a difference in my hair. It looked healthier and more manageable. It has also helped my scalp from itching frequently. I massage the oil into the edges of my hair before I wrap it nightly and every two days I use it to oil my scalp. This oil has been a lifesaver. Shipping was extremely fast from the company and I plan on making future purchases from them again.

    Update 1/23/2012
I still am using the JBCO regularly and I am continuing to see excellent results. My hair was in a short cut Summer 2011 and it has grown just below my ears w/o relaxing. I will be relaxing on 1/27/2012 after 3 months of growth. I use the JBCO twice weekly and alternate with lighter oils (Jojoba, Coconut) the days I do not use the JBCO.

    Update 2/27/2012
I decided not to relax my hair in January. Instead I’ve been washing my hair weekly and co-washing twice a week, I run a lot so it’s necessary. I flat iron my hair weekly on low heat and still use the JBCO and my primary moisturizing oil and Coconut oil.

    Update 4/19/2012
I finally relaxed my hair on 4/14/12 after 6 months. I’m stretching out my relaxers and not ditching them completely and have been wearing my hair in a bantu knot out. I still have been using the Coconut Oil to moisturize and JBCO to seal my ends as well as on my scalp. I have experienced very little shedding or breakage since I’ve been using the JBCO which has been for about 2 years. The texture is still soft and full at this point I’m learning how to manage my bantu knot outs and buying my 4th bottle of JBCO.

    Update 6/1/2012
I’ve been using the JBCO to seal the ends of my hair for my bantu knot outs, lightly on my scalp and on the edges. I will be updating every two months at this point. I’m still very pleased with the JBCO and will continue to use it.

    Update 8/28/2012
There have been a few major changes that I have made. I BC’d on 6/8/2012 to a very short close crop, self cut and I stopped using the JBCO. For natural hair I have decided to stop using it. I tried it once and I didn’t care for it. Odd but not unexpected. Overall I still think it is a very good product, just at this point and time not for my natural hair.

    Update 1/21/2013
I’ve decided to revisit the JBCO again, using it as a hot oil treatment on a weekly basis. I really did like the way it worked in my hair and how it grew back the hair along my edges thicker and after spending a few months away from it I’ve noticed the spot where my hair was thinning is not as thick. As a side note: I’ve cut my hair down a few times to make sure the relaxed hair completely gone. I have a short cut and and growing it out, finally. My New Years Resolution was not to cut.
