How do I make my hair develop quickly?

Question by Ebony Smith: How do I make my hair develop quickly?
I will not straighten my hair any longer but it still will not likely grow . Are there any items I can use to make it increase ? Does placing gel in it result it from expanding? Aid me ! Remember to !

you cannot make your hair grow more rapidly, this is a fantasy. your hair grows on a regular about 1/4 to a one/2 inch for each thirty day period.

Don’t put to many prducts in your hair even if t says it won’t damage it. These products may make your hair grow longer but will damage it in the long run. When ever u have time and your boared then brush your hair from the very top to the bottom repeatedly and this will help you hair folicals grow more hair

  2. brush ur hair EVERYTIME that you can. and also braid it regular.. every-night if u can..

Let me start by stating that there is not a shampoo or conditioner that promotes hair growth unless is it prescribed by a physician and contains either “Rogaine”, “Minoxidil” or “Proprecia”
The only way you can grow healthy hair is to eat a healthy diet high in protein (Hair is composed of “keratin” hard protein.) and take prenatal vitamins. (If you are a woman.) I had a client on prenatal vitamins and her hair grew twice a fast as normal. It normally takes about 4 to 6 weeks before you start seeing results.
Hair usually grows ¼ to ½ inch every 4 to 6 weeks.

    Shampooing
In order to grow healthy hair your scalp needs to be clean; by not shampooing you are defeating your efforts to grow healthy hair. I recommend shampooing every other day using a shampoo for chemically treated hair. Shampoo that has been formulated for chemically treated hair has less detergent than a shampoo that has been formulated for normal hair. Detergent will remove to many natural oils and cause your hair to be dry.

    Split ends
Also you need to have a trim every 6-8 weeks to prevent split ends. A hair follicle that has a spit end is beyond repair. If you do not have your hair trimmed to get the split end off they will eat there way up the hair shaft like a pac-man. There is not a shampoo/ conditioner that will repair split ends. The only repair for a spit end is to have it cut off. While there are shampoo and conditioners out that make the claim of repairing split ends all they do is put either a wax or plastic coating over the hair shaft; when the coating wears off the spit is back.
The only way to thicken your hair is to have a hair transplant; man cannot create a hair follicle.

In closing let me state that trimming your hair will not make it grow. Hair does not grow from the tips like grass; it grows from the roots.

I have been a licensed, practicing cosmetologist for 36 years +.
    Hope this helps.

Im sorry, but what is with you people asking this question all of the time? Hair grows at it’s own pace. There is NOTHING you can do to make it grow out faster. Now, you do however have control over the CONDITION your hair will grow into. It you use alot of product and alot of heat, chances are your hair will grow in brittle, giving the illusion that its growing “too slow”, because its breaking all the time. If you want strong and healthy hair, wash it and then leave it alone. Try using barretts or jaw clips to keep your hair up instead of elastics because they rip your hair out too.

Be patient, and take good care of your hair while your waiting all that time, its all you can do

  5. Best product for your hair is oil.The advantages for oil is oil is the fool that your hair needs and there are no chemicals in it it is actually really good.It makes your hair shiny and grow faster and healthy.Apply oil the day before you take shower or if you can’t do that then at least 2 hours before you take shower and give a good message at least for 15-20 mins.If you take shower in the morning and you don’t have time to get up that early and apply oil before 2 hours then you can apply it the next and take shower next morning. Also if you apply too much products in your hair like gel, conditionar, shampoo or others it can damage your hair.I am not saying that dont use shampoo or conditionar att all.Use shampoo twice in a week not more then that and conditionar twice in a month. The best product is oil because hair wants a food to grow just like us and their food is oil.

    HOPE THAT HELPED 🙂

If you’re healthy, & very active, your nails are growing, your hair should be growing RIGHT NOW.

Babies can do that, by drinking their milk. . . . so can you, so can any of us without any help. From your: good genes, good hair care and all the healthy foods from Mother Nature, that’s where you get all your vitamins & minerals for growing from head to toes. Shampoos are meant for cleaning the hair, not for growing.

If you’ve straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.
Google: “Foods for Healthy Hair” – Your hair may be the fastest-growing tissue in the body but, unlike the skin, it cannot repair itself. That is why getting the right balance of vitamins and proteins is imperative. Don’t expect to look like you’ve stepped out of a hair commercial the day after you’ve changed your diet. It is likely to take at least three months before you actually see tangible results.

Growing healthy hair doesn’t come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you’re in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you’re eating healthy foods. But when hair isn’t growing as fast, it’s because they’ve been tampered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc. . .

Cutting your split ends yourself, spend 5-10 mins. on a sunny day so you can easily spot them, using a 2″ scissors, cut strand by strand, section by section, allowing new growth to take over. Then 2x a year, get a good hair cut. This won’t speed things up, but it will make the hair look healthier while it’s growing. Even healthy hair like mine get them, due to normal brushing & styling.

Remember: The hair industry is a billion dollar business, they sell products that cleans & condition the hair. They also sell products that damage and causes hair loss. They also DO NOT give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to ‘abuse’. Mechanical, chemical, or thermal styling. Hair straighteners and relaxers top the hair products pose the greatest risks. Hair relaxers, related products marketed heavily to African-American women, are dangerous because they may contain powerful chemicals such as lye, a toxic substance also used in drain cleaners.

Man-made products & supplements can do more harm than good.
Beginning in February 2008, they experienced one symptom after another: diarrhea, joint pain, HAIR LOSS, lung problems, and fingernails and toenails that fell off. FDA has received numerous reports of harm associated with the use of these products, including stroke, liver injury, kidney failure, heart palpitations, and death. 3-15-11.

I’ve posted since 2009, how I’ve known people in their 30’s whose hair stopped growing from ironing their hair in the 70’s. I don’t even use conditioner for over 15 yrs. We have soft water. When traveling, I briefly rinse with bottled water, towards the end.

  7. Healthy hair growth starts with good nutrition. Your hair needs certain nutrients to grow properly. This can be achieved by getting enough of the right fats, vitamins, and minerals from your diet, or from dietary supplements. There are also some other supplements that may also be able to help, like saw palmetto, Pygeum Africanum, MSM, and grape seed extract. I like Caribbean Hair Grow. You should talk to your doctor before you do, or take anything, and also do your own research (wikipedia, pubmed, etc.) as well. Hope this helps…
