I’m not a medical professional so I recommend heading to a skin doctor.

    Does this have anything to do with Eating Disorders?

    Additional Details-
    Well in that case you should see a dermatologist.

  2. It might be some kind of medical problem. you know some diseases such as cancer are very much associated with hair loss. i recommend you to go to the doctor and take some tests. it might also be that you are not eating protein because protein is ideal for hair growth, eye lash growth, etc. so eat a lot of protein rich foods like chicken,. meat, nuts, etc..

  3. You said you taking vitamins verify below to make sure it matches your vitamin intake
    Here is the list of supplements you need to intake daily in order to have healthy hair.

    * Vitamin B-complex – 50 mg. (including folate, biotin and inositol)
    * Vitamin B-6 – 50 mg.
    * Vitamin C 1-2 gms with bioflavonoids
    * Vitamin E – 400 to 800 IU daily
    * Beta-Carotene – 10,000 to 15,000 IU (Beta-carotene is found in green and yellow vegetables and fruits especially ripen mangoes)
    * Magnesium, sulfur, zinc
    * Silica (horsetail) – 300 mg. daily
    * Nettle – 250 mg. three times daily
    * Flaxseed oil – one tbsp daily or one tablet
    (IU-International Units)

    Food like Fish, eggs, beans and yogurt are rich in proteins so you should try and include these in your diet.Soy protein (tofu) has also been found to be helpful in reducing hair loss.

    Even though you may have started intake of these supplements you also need to cut down on excessive stress and some medications are conclusively known to retard hair growth.

    The leading cause of Hair loss is scientifically proven to be DHT or dihydrotestosterone, a hormone that tends to attach itself to your hair follicles and other receptor sites. Finally, your hair follicles get bound and weak thus resulting in loss of hair and baldness.

    Here are tips to reduce of hair loss specially if problem is medium to high:

    1. Eliminate or cut back on smoking, caffeine and carbonated sodas which weaken the body and block maximum hair growing potential.
    2. Eat a healthy diet. Avoid foods that are high in sugar or fat.
    3. Treat your hair like a piece of fine old lace. Treat it carefully avoiding any unnecessary brushing, combing or handling.
    4. Avoid use of hot water, hot blow dryers or other hair care tools that may stress the hair.
    5. Have a weekly scalp massage to provide stimulation to the hair follicles.
    6. Do a series of ongoing hot oil treatments to protect the hair’s shaft.
    7. Have regular trims to eliminate split ends and allow the hair to look and feel healthier.
    8. Get plenty of rest and sleep to allow your body to grow hair.
    9. Massaging your scalp several times a day improves the blood circulation in your scalp area. As a direct result, the improved blood flow in the scalp area helps the transfer of oxygen and other growth promoting nutrients to the hair follicles. This will directly help you achieve healthier and thicker hair volume.

    problem persists even after this use this product

    The cause is DHT. Vitamins and general health maintenance work for some people but not all. You mentioned that you’ve been taking vitamins, but not which kinds.

    I’ve heard that Saw Palmetto, Ginseng, B-Complex, and other vitamins can help some people slow or stop hair loss.

    Bottom line is that if that stuff hasn’t been working for you, then it’s time to try something else!

    The only other thing I can think of is to try a commercial product. Wal-Mart sells Rogaine, but I have no experience with it. I think you’ll have to find which one works best for you because there are a lot out there.

    I’ll shoot you a link to a product which has gotten good reviews. Please understand that I’ve never used it personally, but it is a very popular product used all over the world with a high satisfaction rate.

    Hope I’ve been helpful!

    Make no mistake about it. Some hair loss is not preventable. Every one of us loses 100-150 hairs a day in the natural cycle of hair growth and death. It is normal and should not be cause for concern. Further, larger amounts of hair loss can occur at specific times in life – illness, surgery, pregnancy, life-changing events, anxiety and stress, and certain diseases. Again, these are treatable and, in most cases, temporary.More-than-normal hair loss can be prevented in several ways:
    1.Keep your body healthy. Body health translates into scalp health and allows follicles to continue to produce hair to replace that which is lost. Good diet and exercise, to increase blood circulation are really important.
    2.Stop injuring your hair: Harsh shampoos and coloring/treatment products, used in excess, will kill your hair. Your follicles cannot replace hair as fast as it is falling out when your hair is severely damaged. Likewise, use dry heat as little as possible – blow dryers and curling irons dry out and crack hair, causing it to break off in more than normal amounts.
    3.Find ways to reduce stress and anxiety in your life. If you over-react to stressful situations, lose sleep, sorry constantly, you are on the road to more health concerns than just loss of hair. But make no mistake about it, your hair will fall out in greater amounts.
    4.Use topical treatments for your scalp. Essential oils and combinations of herbs can be very helpful in keeping follicles open and productive
    .5.Use medical products developed by a variety of pharmaceutical companies, both in lotion and pill form.
    6.Start early. As soon as you experience hair loss that has been confirmed not to be a result of another health condition, begin your investigation of the wide variety of treatments available. You will have to experiment and you will have to be patient. Many products require 3-6 months before you see visible results
    7.Don’t give up. Use the product that works best for you right now, and look for new advances in the area of hair loss. Medical research is “on this,” in a big way, and lots of money is being poured into the search for a permanent, universally effective treatment.8.If no prevention treatments have the effect you desire, consider wigs, hair pieces, extensions or even hair transplantation. Worry and distress over hair loss is not worth your time and effort, especially if it begins to affect your mood, your social life, and your general emotional well-being.

  6. one of the cause can be the stress, but it can also be a genetic problem that you got from your parents. My dad had it to and he solved this problem with a product that we found online.if you want it this is the link:
