Is their any methods you can make your hair expand faster?

Issue by Christine: Is their any approaches you can make your hair increase more quickly?
My hair is to my shoulders and people say I have wonderful healthier hair. But I want it to my hips and it isn’t really increasing that rapidly. I love my hair but I can not do any factor with it. I wAnt to be in a position to braid it. And make it seem adorable and stuff. And my hair is wavy is their a way I can make it really extended like in a thirty day period and make it a minor far more strait because I have to flatt iron it and if u answer thx all support is thanked πŸ™‚

No, you cannot make it grow faster. It will increase an typical of one/four” a thirty day period. Flat-ironing your hair is Bad and will make it brittle and crack off, and THAT will “slow” the expansion (not actually sluggish it, but as it grows from the roots, the other end will be breaking off_)

If you’re healthy, & very active, your nails are growing, your hair should be growing RIGHT NOW. My 4 years old grand daughter knows how to let her hair grow. It’s almost down to her waist. If you want perfection, you NEED patience. Even anorexic models have long hairs, and they’re not considered ‘healthy’. http://www.newser.com/story/155031/12-celebs-who-battled-eating-disorders.html I was one, and had long hair when I weighed 85 lbs.

Babies can do that, by drinking their milk. . . . so can you, so can any of us without any help. From your: good genes, good hair care and all the healthy foods from Mother Nature, that’s where you get all your vitamins & minerals for growing from head to toes. Shampoos are meant for cleaning the hair, not for growing.

If you’ve straightened your hair in the past, it may grow slowly or none at all.

NO MATTER which link you picked, they all suggest the same foods. Your hair may be the fastest-growing tissue in the body but, unlike the skin, it cannot repair itself. That is why getting the right balance of vitamins and proteins is imperative. Don’t expect to look like you’ve stepped out of a hair commercial the day after you’ve changed your diet. It is likely to take at least three months before you actually see tangible results. Hair is dead, but hair also has electrical energy; the negative charge of damaged hair can lead to flyways and unruly hair.

Growing healthy hair doesn’t come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you’re in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you’re eating healthy foods. But when hair isn’t growing as fast, it’s because they’ve been tampered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc. . .

Cutting your split ends yourself, spend 5-10 mins. on a sunny day so you can easily spot them, using a 2″ scissors, cut strand by strand, section by section, allowing new growth to take over. Then 2x a year, get a good hair cut. This won’t speed things up, but it will make the hair look healthier while it’s growing. Even healthy hair like mine get them, due to normal brushing & styling. Hormonal changes can have a big effect on hair.

Remember: The hair industry is a billion dollar business, they sell products that cleans & condition the hair. They also sell products that damage and causes hair loss. They also DO NOT give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to ‘abuse’. Mechanical, chemical, or thermal styling. Hair straighteners and relaxers top the hair products pose the greatest risks. Hair relaxers, related products marketed heavily to African-American women, are dangerous because they may contain powerful chemicals such as lye, a toxic substance also used in drain cleaners.

Man-made products & supplements can do more harm than good.
Beginning in February 2008, they experienced one symptom after another: diarrhea, joint pain, HAIR LOSS, lung problems, and fingernails and toenails that fell off. FDA has received numerous reports of harm associated with the use of these products, including stroke, liver injury, kidney failure, heart palpitations, and death. 3-15-11. Pills like medications ALL have side effects. Beware. Example: “I used minoxidil drug to restore the hair on my head; however, I ended up with unwanted body hair. I don’t know if it is temporary or I have to seek medical treatment.” YA poster 9-27-12. People giving advice here, should list their sources, and not try to sell you products.

  2. Make sure you keep yuour scalp clean, and try not to use gel or hair spray. No teasing your hair, either. Good luck (:

  3. Christine, there is a saying to grow your hair faster. Actually my parents told me this. You get your two hand and rub your fingernails with each other. Like the angle you are filling but wth two hands it makes a crushing sound. Hope I have helped you πŸ™‚

Don’t straightn it so much, you can’t grow hair that fast in a month. I’m sure there’s cute hairstyles for short hair as well.

  5. Number one thing is to of course eat well and stay healthy. That is the first thing that you need to do, because if you’re missing important vitamins or nutrients it will show up in your hair as fragile strands, excessive damage or dryness.

Another thing, is try washing your hair only 2-3 times a week. DON’T wash your hair everyday because your hair needs the oils in your scalp to help it grow and to dryness!! This is because you need the natural oils you produce so that your scalp doesn’t get dry and start to flake. Washing your hair too much can actually cause dandruff .I noticed this along time ago.

They say trimming your hair helps, but I have long hair and I only get a trim about once a year. My hair is really healthy and long. So I would know. How can your hair grow, if you keep cutting it? Hair grows about 1 inch per every 4-6 weeks. Your hair won’t grow out if you cut it every 4-6 weeks.

Try to be as gentle as possible with your hair. Minimize heat styling like straightening and blowdrying and if you must do it then use heat protection products to prevent excessive damage. (Avoid any heat to your hair as much as possible.) Also find a good shampoo and conditioner. Shampooing daily isn’t always necessary and can dry out your hair too much. For a lot of people every other day is fine and will keep their hair healthier and softer. For conditioner- some people do better with moisturizing conditioners and some with protein/strength building type conditioners. Try out both and see what works best for your hair.
Deep condition every week or two. Some of the home remedy type treatments can work pretty well- avocados, mayonnaise, coconut oil, etc. If you’re on a tight budget then google a little and try out some ‘recipes’.

Also please please please get a trim! I see so many people on YA who ask for advice on how to get pretty hair or longer hair but refuse to cut or even trim it because they don’t want to lose any length. Trust me people if the ends are damaged, your hair probably isn’t going to get long like it’s supposed to and even if it does it won’t look good. Just cut it off and start fresh, your hair will thank you.

Other tips I suggest are, giving yourself a weekly scalp massage to provide stimulation to the hair follicles. It is true that you do need plenty of rest and sleep to allow your body to grow hair. Drinking lots of water will also help. Approximately eight glasses — I have also heard pulling the strands of hair daily can help it grow. Do I mean pull your hair out until you see strands of it in the floor? No, I don’t. Be gentle. Another thing I have heard from other people is to flip your head over for about 2-4 minutes daily. This may sound weird but it tends to stimulate hair follicles by reversing the flow of blood. I haven’t tried it so I wouldn’t know if it works or not. Brushing your hair 100 strands every night could possibly make a huge difference! Try it. A home remedy, is by putting olive oil on your scalp before taking a shower. Leaving it on for no less than 20 minutes.

A few facts I have learned by personal experience is that your DIET does matter. Nutritious diet consisting of foods rich in B vitamins, proteins, iron etc is a highly recommended solution to the query of how to make your hair grow faster and longer, so I advice replacing your empty calories with healthy foods like spinach, beans, broccoli, green bell peppers, lettuce, milk, fish, strawberries, avocados, tomatoes, bananas, apricots, yogurt, soy products, oregano, flaxseeds, nuts, whole grains etc. You can also take supplements, if needed.
Also, Stress increases the risk of hair loss. Avoiding stress and getting sufficient sleep can make your hair grow faster and longer. It has been observed that factors like stress, depression and sleep deprivation actually contribute in hair loss. On the other hand, deep breathing, exercising and proper sleep (growth hormones are secreted during sleep) promote growth of hair.

  6. Well, on average a person’s hair grows 1/2 per month. But, there is NO shampoo that will help hair growth. To speed up a LITTLE BIT of hair growth, read the following:
. get a trim only when you need to what’s the point of getting a trim when your hair is healthy?
. drink lots of water! Water does not only help hair growth but your skin too.
. Try to cut back on straightening and heat, it will damage your hair and give you split ends.
. Air dry your hair once you get out of the shower
    . Don’t use cheap shampoo
. Don’t use to much shampoo or conditioner, for shampoo as big as a quarter and conditioner a nickel or dime.
. BE PATIENT and love your hair! πŸ™‚
Oh, yes here is my story.
So, a few years ago I has horrible hair and my Mom made me cut it (it was at my shoulders) to my neck then I got it cut 2 months later it grew about 3 inches the reason why I did it so early was I made a deal with my Mom which was I could grow out my hair for a year! I went crazy! XD So I went to the hairdresser and she trimmed about 1/2. Almost three weeks later it’s up to my shoulders (before it was like 1/2 past my neck) I did the following tips I listed!

    Good luck! πŸ™‚

Take my advice my hair was super short and now its past my breast under a year. First off, stop using heat COMPLETELY ! I know torcher!!!! but do it. do a simple hair style and to put down standup hairs put a little gel or a drop of oil. I use heat on my hair once a month. Do that until you get your desired length. Then use heat whenever you want. Massage olive oil/almond oil/coconut oil on your hair. Not all at once but get all 3 so you can switch it up every week. Massage it to your scalp and put it on your tips if that dry. Put the oil in the microwave for 30 seconds to one minute. Turn upside to get the blood flowing to simulate the folic acid in your hair. Keep it for a day or 3 hours. Rinse your hair with cold water or warm never hot. Brush your hair no more then twice a day and use a wide tooth comb. Under no circumstances brush your hair when its wet! thats the worst thing you can do. Thats when your hair is at its most fragile. Take folic acid supplements and fish oil pills. Or fish oil pills and hair skin and nail supplements. Last but not least eat alot or protein. Eggs for breakfeast is perfect GOOD LUCK!!!! =]

  8. Massage your scalp every night and eat lots of protein foods. You can take vitamin E supplements for healthy skin, hair and nails or vitamin B12 which is important for hair growth. Some people take Biotin pills and that seems to help. Try using avocado and banana hair masks once a week, that made my hair grow. I also use a product called pro naturals moroccan argan oil after each shower and it helps a lot since argan oil has more benefits for your hair than any other. Their shampoo and conditioner is equally good because it’s sulfate free so it makes hair healthier and softer. You can get some online. Oh and get trims regularly.
