Question by ….: What does hair loss related to alopecia look and feel like?
I have been losing more hair than usual over the last week, however it does not look any thinner and there are no bald patches. The hair loss is from all over the scalp and it does not feel itchy or painful. Could it be because my hair needs cutting and it keeps knotting up? I’m scared it’s alopecia, although I am a slight hypochondriac so I’m trying to tell myself it’s all in my mind.

It does not seem to be alopecia.
I had severe hair loss where I was losing about 10 handfuls a week.
I got my hair cut and thinned and everything was alright.
It might be that the hair was not well, or that your scalp is extremely dry.

This stuff really works!,
I had hair that was thinning due to Diabetes and a friend recommended I try Nioxin. I’ve been using it for about a year now and can’t believe how much fuller my hair is. I can no longer see my scalp. I have recommended it to several family members who have thinning hair.

I have been using this product for at least 20 years and it is great. It has helped my hair grow after experiencing early hair loss and has kept it on my head for all these year. I still have thin spots but they have filled in to allow me to have more hair styles.

I was introduced to the Nioxin line of hair care products several years ago as an excellent product for thinning hair. I have since discovered that the ad copy is absolutely right – Nioxin not only stopped the hair loss, it appears to have filled my hair in where it was already thinning.
