what is the maximum time I should be out in the sun?

Question by Sarah toretllea: what is the maximum time I should be out in the sun?
So I have alopecia areta and I’ve heard from a lot of people that Vitamin D helps your hair so I want to go outside whenever I can and just sunbathe. But i also don’t want to hurt my skin. How long should I sunbathe each day? Any tips/suggestions would be helpful.

I think it is not really a matter of maximum time exposed to the Sun. Research shows you can only get Vitamin D from sunshine from sunrise up to 9:00am. Anytime pass that is just exposing yourself to heat and UV rays, unless you are looking for a nice tan , heat stroke or skin diseases.
